Artist Statement

 

I am a multimedia artist focusing in painting and digital media with a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. Currently, I work for Viacom International Media Networks as a Digital Library Technician.

 

The subjects within my paintings range from oil paintings of people and still-lives to watercolor landscapes I have encountered and documented with digital photography. I paint because I have developed my technical ability for the past decade in order to convey a vision of how I see the world. In the next few years I hope to see these skills and concepts evolve and add more comedy into my work.

 

Animation, graphic design, interactive digital multimedia, and documentary making are also ways I create art. My animations use very little dialogue while my documentaries touch upon untold stories. Since I am new to these mediums, I can experiment more easily. I plan on creating more digital peices within the year.
